Fabrics

ZETEX^® and ZETEXPlus^® are proven textiles which are not only resistant to extreme heat, but extreme cold as well (down to –100°F or –73°C).

ZETEX^® is used for applications up to 1100°F or 593°C and has a K value of 0.3399. ZETEXPlus^®  is used for applications up to 2000°F or 1093°C. Both fabrics are chemical resistant against most acids, alkalines, and solvents. In addition, they are also mildew resistant. They are typically made from durable texturized amorphous silica yarn that are twice as strong as steel wire of the same diameter.

Both fabrics are available in various weight and thicknesses to suit the application and cost. Newtex also markets a range of specialized fabrics :

SILICONE coated - silver silicone coating for weatherproof environments

Z-SIL - high Silica content (approx 94%) for higher heat resistance capabilities up to 3000°F or 1650°C

PTFE coated - high chemical resistance and non-stick capability

Aluminized - reflects up to 90% of radiant heat and ideal for safety clothing use

Tapes

Newtex has a wide range of ZETEX^® and ZETEXPlus^® tapes for lagging, insulation, and encapsulation. The tapes are commonly used in : Water and Steam piping, Hydraulic line protection, boiler tadpole gasket insulation, gasketing / door seals, and electrical insulation.

Ropes and Tubing

Newtex ropes are available in twisted, braided, and square braided forms. Typically used in oven door seals, high temperature joint packing, hot top seals, and pipe insulation.

Newtex tubing are made from the same reliable ZETEX^® and ZETEXPlus^® material and used for high temperature applications to protect hydraulic or electrical lines and as cable and wire insulation.
